Nightlife in Moscow has moved on since Soviet times.
Solyanka Club Moscow
The Solyanka Club, a three storey 19th century townhouse, is situated in the very centre of Moscow. Inside, the club itself is as much a product of the design as it is of the private atmosphere. Oversized leather armchairs anchor vintage carpets, mirrors frame pre-revolutionary chandeliers. Together with its clientele, the Solyanka club is imbued with the air of a private apartment, recasting this venue into a modern day salon. Solyanka has a diverse music policy, hosting various nights from Thursdays, through Fridays, until Saturdays. Thursdays boast the full spectrum of hip hop music. Friday is all techno and its tech-house derivatives. Saturdays enjoy a rotating schedule, with parties that span from Nu-Rave to Dancehall. Solyanka Club Moscow

Established in 1991, both the club and restaurant have Swedish management and attentive, English-speaking staff. The restaurant is perennially busy, particularly its outside seating area on warm light summer nights. Highlights include steaks and salmon dishes. Night Flight

Kruzhka
Kruzhka restaurants can usually be identified outside by their orange "Kruzhka" signs, which are often illuminated and difficult to miss. The orange theme continues inside, where the brick walls and wooden furniture give most Kruzhka restaurants a somewhat rugged character.
It is common in Moscow and other Russian cities for there to be relatively little difference between bars, restaurants, clubs, and cafes, and Kruzhka is no exception. These "beer restaurants" tend to be popular with students, though the cheap food and beer attracts expatriates as well as Russians. However, that does not necessarily mean that Kruzhka has a "Western" character. Kruzhka
Boarhouse
Doug and Marty's Boarhouse or Chesterfields, as it was previously known, is a 24 hour bar and restaurant located in central Moscow. The bar was opened in 1997 by Canadian Doug Steele along with expat club-owner Jean-Michel and Englishman Martin Bainbridge. Doug was previously the owner of the well known night club in Moscow, The Hungry Duck. Steele left the Boar House in 2006 to form the Doug Steele Restaurants venture, planning to open a series of restaurants and bars throughout Moscow. This venture failed in 2007 after the opening of three establishments - one of them has now closed and the others are under new management. Boarhouse
